Leftover turkey and stuffing is no longer in your fridge, you're starting to see your breath in the air, colorful decorations are enveloping houses and the kids are writing Christmas lists.

This means you're probably going to need something for the papered boxes and gifts to rest under. Bishop's Pine Crest Tree Farm provides a variety of live trees to cut down and drive home.

Bishop's has a few differences that make it standout. They provide your family with plenty of fun while choosing the perfect tree to take home for the holidays.

"We've been sellin' trees since 1991," owner Ed Bishop said.

Bishop's is located in Linwood, Kan., on 13436 166th Street ,just outside of Bonner Springs, Kan.

The tree farm sells around 1200 to 1500 trees every year. Scotch, White, and Austrian Pines are the types of trees available. Tree size vary from 4 to 15 feet.

Visitors can also enjoy free hot chocolate and cookies that are handed out to anyone buying a tree. The staff will shake, net and help load your tree while you wait in the warmth of the farm's wood-burning fireplace within the chalet. The Bishop's Pine Crest Express is also available for children.

The farm opens the Friday after Thanksgiving and remains open on the weekends until Dec. 22. During that time, "there's a real steady amount of people," Bishop said.

If you're looking for a Christmas tree and you want an experience for the whole family, visit the Bishop's Pine Crest Tree Farm.
