From when the door to Teller's restaurant first opens to the time their customers sit down, it's impossible to breathe in anything besides style and sophistication.

Teller's, located on the downtown strip of Lawrence, Kan., fills the dining hall with warmth, culture, and simplicity.

Although the tables are crowded and the waiters are constantly moving, the restaurant is personal and welcoming.

Teller's presents an Italian theme without being overbearing or persistent. Their highly trained staff wants nothing more than for the customer to be satisfied.

On the menu, a fantastic array of meals is presented in authentic Italian and translated into English. If the menu gets confusing, the servers are always happy to help.

Since the menu changes often, the servers also announce any specials, soups, or desserts that have been added or changed.

The service never seems to waiver or slow down, even on a busy night. Above the quality of their service is their presentation. Food is brought out promptly and in exquisite style.

The meals you can choose from range from classic Italian entrées to more exotic choices. Appetizers and desserts also offer up a wide variety of selections that can vary day to day.

Along with a fulfilling food menu is a large selection of fine wines. Though the list of wines to choose from is daunting, you don't have to be a wine connoisseur to find a tasty beverage to sip on during your fine meal.

Though Teller's gives off an aura of authenticity and sophistication, the dress and demeanor is considered casual. It's a great place to have a romantic date or a meal on the town with family.

Teller's family oriented style appeals more towards the more mature family scene. There is no children's menu, and kids might find it hard to select from their menu.

Don't let the prices fool you either; even college students can dine at Teller's for reasonable costs. We think the costs are bearable. At Teller's, you not only receive quality food, you get the finest service the Lawrence strip has to offer.
