Kids and grownups alike will find the Museum of World Treasures in charming Wichita, Kan., a memorable experience.

Hop along on a magic carpet ride through the streets of ancient Athens and see authentic Greek pottery and sculptures.

Take a trip down to the land of the pyramids and come face to face with mummies and ancient scrolls.

From Civil War relics to Pioneer fur hats, the Museum of World Treasures is a treasure trove ready to be discovered.

One of the most popular attractions for children is the dinosaur display.

"I like the dinosaurs because they are huge", 7-year-old Darin Sellars of Liberty, Mo., said.

The museum does a good job of turning back the pages in the history books and bringing the age of the dinosaurs to life with interactive displays, that are not only entertaining to see, but also very informative.

You can learn about the eating habits of the mighty Triceratops or discover what continents dinosaurs roamed.

In addition to the exhibits, the museum also hosts camp-ins for groups and organizations.

"I think that camp-ins are a great way for children to interact and learn about history, without it actually feeling like they are learning," Sharon Whitenower of Topeka, Kan., said. "Kids will be kids after all".

In May, the museum will be unveiling its newest exhibit. Standing nearly twenty feet tall, a T-Rex fossil named Ivan will take center stage.

Ivan will be one of the few fully intact Tyrannosaurus fossils on display in the world.

Anyone interested in learning more about the museum is encouraged to check out their Web site below or call at 316-263-1311.
