It was a crowded house in Sverdrup 123 on Saturday afternoon as students, alumni and community members packed the room for critically acclaimed filmmaker Andrew James' workshop on documentary films. James, 31, is the co-director of the documentary "Cleanflix," which was shown over the weekend as part of the Webster University Film Series.

When you look at a painting, it does not take much time to make an assessment as to whether you like it or not. But what if there was something beneath the painting's surface? How would you look at it then?

YouTube user Hungrybear9562's video "Yosemitebear Mountain Giant Double Rainbow 1-8-10" shows the user (whose real name is Paul Vasquez) filming a rare double rainbow in awe.

The May Gallery opened this weekend featuring an exhibition of Peruvian photographer Jorge Vera's photos of public places without people. Vera's exhibition, "urbanismo," features 16 images shot in various locations over eight years, beginning in 2002. Vera's love for photography began when he was 16 living with his family in Lima, Peru.

The scene in the Stratton Quadrangle was much different Saturday night than the average student would be accustomed to on a regular class day.

It was alive with about 2,300 students running through foam and dancing to the beats of a disc jockey during the second annual foam party, a party put on by SIUE's Interfraternity Council.
