Missouri State's first football game of the season has been postponed due to lightning.

The game has been rescheduled for 1 p.m. Friday at Plaster Sports Complex.

The Bears were supposed to kick off their game with Eastern Kentucky at 6 p.

Eastern and Missouri State had to wait another day to get in their season opener.

After severe thunderstorms and a tornado warning delayed the game nearly three hours, officials decided to reschedule the football game for Friday afternoon.

Waiting a day did not help the Colonels as the Bears pulled away from a tight game early on, winning 31-9.

If you want go inside a building and get away from the wet, Craig Hall probably shouldn't be your first choice. Carey Adams, dean of the college of the college of arts and letters, said that there were places on Craig Hall's roof Wednesday missing gasket material, which made it leak.

A red van belonging to student Christopher Barajas,18, caught on fire at the Park and Recreations lot on L street today (Sept. 2).

Los Angeles Fire Department firefighters arrived and put out the fire.

Fire was confined to the engine compartment.

Firefighters put out the fire and disconnected the battery explained Fire Captain Steve Guttierez.

Unobserved red light causes Skyhawk Parkway accident

A traffic accident Tuesday afternoon resulted in the hospitalization of Martin resident, Maureen Sledd, 45, after her Volkswagon, Beetle was struck by the GMC SK1 of Kyle Weathford, 18, also of Martin, when he ran a stoplight on Skyhawk Parkway.

According to a report from the Martin Police Department, Weathford was traveling south on Skyhawk Parkway when he ran a red light and hit the left side of Sledd's vehicle as she was turning left onto Skyhawk Parkway from Hawks Rd.
